Hello, I am Carrie Griffin owner of Slice of Heaven Day Spa. I am a licensed Aesthetician from the California State Board of Barbering and Cosmetology and Master Certified Massage Therapist. I come from a family with over 40 years experience in the beauty industry. My father, Ron Griffin was an award-winning beauty expert. He wrote many beauty articles, lectured throughout the United States and appeared on various TV shows.
I regularly enroll in continuing education courses and attend seminars on the latest technology and techniques in promoting healthy skin and muscles. I am a member of Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals (ABMP). This means I have met stringent requirements regarding training and must adhere to a strict code of ethics in order to maintain membership.
I have over 600 hours of massage training although the city of San Jose only requires a minimum of 100 hours in order to obtain a license to practice massage. I received my training at the Institute for Business and Technology in Santa Clara. They are accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology (ACCSCT). ACCSCT is listed by the U.S. Department of Education as a nationally-recognized accrediting agency.
